Full-length track of interview with Richard Madden, Robb Stark of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

Any strange sounds are texts or emails coming into my phone, which serves as sound recorder.

Favorite moments (roughly transcribed):

Madden: I hope you can understand [my Scottish accent]. If I have enough to drink there’s no way you’d understand a word.

Madden: [On getting into character and acting] I won’t lie, sometimes it gets confusing. … The lines blur. Gotta make sure you have a beer at the bar. I’ll phone me mum, see if my dad’s OK.

Me: Can you tell me one or two philosophers that you’re into?
Madden: [Laughs SO CHARMINGLY] Oh no, ‘cause then I’ll be judged on it… 

Me: There are religious undertones in the show. Are you religious at all?
Madden: Not in any way. But I understand religion.
